Fee Schedule
Henderson Medical Centre is a member of ProCare PHO. This means that all patients who choose to enrol with us are entitled to fee subsidies on some of our services and pay much less for their medications. Casual patients and visitors do not receive these subsidies. Click here if you would like to complete an enrolment application form.
It is our policy that all payments are made at the time of consultation. We offer a full range of payment options, including cash, EFTPOS and Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard). It is also expected that if you are unable to attend your appointment you call and advise reception at least 3 hours before the appointment. Alternatively, you can also email adminhmc@hendersonmedical.co.nz to advise of non-attendance but this must be received within the same timeframe. If no notice is received for non-attendance all patients will incur a penalty fee. If contact is made to notify of non-attendance within 3 hours of the appointment the penalty fee will still apply.
If you are a member of Southern Cross Health Society, we also offer Easy-claim. Simply provide your member details to one of our receptionists at the time of payment and they will do an on-the-spot online claim for you. No more filling out claim forms and waiting to be reimbursed!
The following fee schedule applies from the 8th of January 2024 and may change independently of this site.
CONSULTATION FEES – Fees paid on the day of consultation will receive a deduction of $10.00
A non-attendance or late cancellation fee will be incurred. This will apply to all age groups, and children will incur a fee of $10.00 for each missed appointment. If you fail to notify us at least 3 hours before your scheduled appointment. i.e. An adult charged the registered fee of $68 for a consultation will incur a missed or late cancellation fee of $34.00.

CSC rates only apply to enrolled patients between the hours of 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday.
An after hours surcharge applies to all appointments on weekdays from 6pm onwards.

Please note that a Missed Appointment / Late Cancellation Fee of 50% of the service price will be implemented from 8th January 2024. Appointments with GPs are in high demand.
If you are unable to attend your appointment or no longer require it, please advise Reception via phone (09 837 1110) or email (adminhmc@hendersonmedical.co.nz).
If you fail to show up for your appointment or notify us within 3 working hours of your appointment time, this fee will be applied to your account. As this will apply to all age groups, children will incur a flat fee of $10.00.
This has been introduced as we have had a significant increase in the number of patients not turning up for their appointments or have cancelled at the last minute. This means we are not able to fill this spot for patients who need to see a GP urgently. HMC, at their discretion, will remove this charge in exceptional circumstances.
